The KSWO School Campus expansion plan transforms the ground behind the existing main building into a distinctive school campus. Four compact new buildings are grouped around a central outdoor forum — the vibrant heart of the complex — and frame it as a sheltered courtyard. The existing main building is respectfully integrated into the new ensemble and serves as a prominent landmark at the entrance on Allmendstrasse.

A wraparound gallery forms an integral element connecting all public and shared areas on the ground floor. It creates a sheltered transition space that leads to the central outdoor forum and, together with a variety of gathering spaces, promotes collaborative learning and flexible uses between the old forum in the existing building, the new forum in the northern extension, and the shared outdoor space.
