Based on the surrounding heterogeneous neighbourhoods, the present concept develops an urban landscape ensemble that is oriented towards an open-plan urban development, while creating a strong spatial formation.
The three new buildings form an almost symmetrical basic grid which, in conjunction with the three existing buildings of essentially the same size, creates different open spaces. The basic geometric figure of a square forms the core of the new figurative ensemble of varying heights, with the green square as the central space of the school framed by the three new architectural structures.
The typology of the square buildings offers the greatest possible flexibility for the requirements of the room programme. Through the different building heights of 11 and 18 metres and in interaction with the two differently oriented pergolas, an urban ensemble develops, reacting specifically to the respective context and fitting in well with the existing buildings.
