In 2002, TOPOTEK1 exhibited “thinking + working” at Aedes Gallery, Berlin. At this opportunity, desks, chairs and working tools were brought right onto the gallery floor, offering a glimpse into the process of the landscape architecture office’s  woking process. In September 2016, TOPOTEK1’s office in Sophienstraße 18, Berlin, turned into a gallery space. This time, only works by TOPOTEK1’s partners were shown, high-lighting the work of those they have collaborated with. The office took on a dual function, serving both as workspace and exhibition area, which was titled “Topotek1: Exhibition/ Office”.

A new situation has been created for the exhibition at Architekturgalerie in Munich. TOPOTEK1’s conference table, a rather eye-catching piece of furniture, has been transferred from Berlin to Munich. This time the dual function is only referenced by a single object. The table recalls the office arrangement on Sophienstraße and, at the same time, serves as a display for TOPOTEK!’s own Munich projects and it’s new published book Creative Infidelities: On the Landscape Architecture of TOPOTEK1. The exhibition in Berlin has been adapted to the architecture gallery’s space with new works added, particularly by TOPOTEK 1’s practice comes to the fore: the ability to adapt to various surroundings with every new project.
