Located between both the Rhine impressive Ehrenbreitstein Fortress is an important national monument. The design addresses the northern side of the territory, turning the historical plateau into an open-to-public museum park that now responds to wider surroundings.

The design concept reorganises the area, creating a new main entrance to the fortress. Leaving the space open and free, the car entrance and parking lot are placed at the edge of the plateau, which provides for great views of the fortress from the north. A wide grass field cut by distinctive bright walking paths forms the background for the fortress ensemble.
